i recently smashed my DVD drive for my 360 so obtaining a key is not an option. i have another broken 360 with a fully functioning Liteon 74850c DVD drive... I'm not entirely sure my console used a Benq as i no longer have the drive so i don't know what it was but i know it wont run with the Liteon that i have now plugged in... when i select "Play game" the screen goes black and sounds like it reading the disk but within seconds it reverts back to the dashboard... so... is there a way i can use the Liteon in my Xbox? should i flash it? I'm completely new to this kind of thing but i already have my drive plugged in to my computer and ready to be flashed if that's what i should do... i honestly don't care if i'm banned from online i just wanna be able to play my games.
*I believe i have an xbox360 Arcade**it's white with white trim (i've seen the white 360 with silver trim but mine is white) also has external HDD so i know its not an original 360*
